The Milwaukee Power, of the NA3HL, are proud to announce that rookie goaltender Spencer Northway, has been called up to the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL. Northway has been the Power’s main workhorse to man the crease this season with eight starts and a record of 3-4-0-1. Having appeared in nine games his goals against average is 2.87, his save percentage of 0.922, and he has recorded one shutout.
“I couldn’t be happier for Spencer and to provide Scotty Owens and the Des Moines Buccaneers a great goalie for however long they need him,” said Kevin Marion, Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Power. “I have had the opportunity over the past two years to sign great goaltending. Our goalies will continue to step up and prove themselves for further opportunities in either the USHL or NAHL. Congratulations Spencer!”
Northway has been a big reason the Power have been able to get off to their best start since their inaugural season as they have half the points they earned through the entire 2020-21 season. He has shown the patience, poise, work ethic, and the desire to compete that of a veteran netminder.
“I am so proud and happy for Spencer because he works so hard and has earned this opportunity at the higher levels,” said Stephen Esau, Head Coach and Assistant General Manager of the Power.
