Weekend Preview – Power takes on Fox Cities in Home and Away Series

The West Bend Power will take on the Fox Cities Forge in a home-and-away series this weekend, opening the matchup Friday night at Kettle Moraine Ice Center before heading on the road to Appleton for the second game of the series. The Friday night contest marks an opportunity for the Power to defend home ice in front of their fans as they welcome the newest addition to the NA3HL Central Division. 

Friday night SKATE WITH THE POWER night is sponsored by Titletown Brewery and will include a pre-game tailgate party starting at 5:00. The Great Outdoors Supper Club will be serving a Fish Fry.  Titletown Brewery will be sampling the “Power Beer of the Month” Oktoberfest, which will now be available on tap at all Power home games.  Fans can bring their own skates or rent them for free at the rink and skate with the Power players after the game.

The Power enters the weekend at 4-0-0-1 with 9 points in first place in the Central Division.  The Fox Cities Forge are 0-2 after their opening series of the year, dropping both games to the Wausau Cyclones.  The Power is coming off a sweep of the Rochester Grizzlies.  The Power is led in scoring by Adam Sexton with 7 points and Nathan Antti and Shaun Paulson with 6 points.  The Forge is led in scoring by Jonah Dickens with 4 points and Tyson Bradford with 2 points.

On special teams, the Power are 20.83% on the power play and 95.24% on the penalty kill  The Forge are 9.09% on the power play and 44.44% on the penalty kill.  

“We’re thrilled to be back on home ice in front of the best fans around.  Our players have worked hard all offseason and to this point, and there is nothing like the home opener with West Bend behind up,” said Power President Nic Novaczyk.
