The West Bend Power returned to Rochester for the second time this season, and overtime remained the theme of the weekend.
The Power opened the weekend with a dramatic 5-4 shootout victory over the Grizzlies on Friday night before completing the sweep Saturday with a 4-3 overtime win. With the two victories, the Power improved to 4-0-1 with nine points in the NA3HL Central Division.
Friday – Power Win 5-4 in Shootout
The Power struck first at 13:37 of the opening period when Luca Doremus scored his first goal as a member of the Power, assisted by Reece Beckwith (1) and Josh Graves (4). Rochester answered with two goals in the final 10 minutes of the period. Jace Jordan tied the game at 9:32 before Benjamin O’Leary gave the Grizzlies a 2-1 lead less than a minute later. The only goal of the second period came from Asher Vander Ploeg, who scored his first goal as a Power, with assists from Wyatt Church (2) and Nathan Antti (4) to even the game at 2-2 heading into the third.
The third period turned into a back-and-forth battle. Rochester regained the lead at 18:49, but the Power answered when Shaun Paulson (3) tied the game at 13:12, assisted by Blake Kohnen (2) and Ivan Schmitz (2). Reece Beckwith then gave the Power the lead at 10:12 with his first goal of the season, assisted by Wyatt Emmett (1). The Power appeared poised to take the victory, but Rochester found the equalizer with just 4 seconds remaining in regulation when Jake Kusch scored to force overtime. Neither team found the back of the net during the overtime period, sending the game to a shootout.
Josh Graves scored first for the Power in the shootout, while Jacob Iallanardo turned aside the Rochester shooters. Blake Kohnen then buried the game-winning shootout goal past Rochester goaltender Cameron Patrick to secure the 5-4 victory. Iallanardo finished the night with 28 saves on 32 Rochester shots, while the Power recorded 29 shots on goal.
Saturday – Power Win 4-3 in Overtime
Saturday’s game began with a scoreless opening period before the Power broke through early in the second. At the 2:41 mark, Elias Holan scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Cole Craft. Less than 20 seconds later, Adam Sexton (4) doubled the Power’s lead, with assists from Ivan Schmitz (2) and Josh Graves (5). The Power carried a 2-0 lead into the third period. Cole Craft added his first goal of the season at 14:15, assisted by Luca Doremus (3) and Nathan Antti (5) to extend the lead to 3-0, but Rochester respond with a furious third-period comeback, scoring three goals in a span of less than four minutes to erase the Power’s three-goal advantage and force overtime. In overtime, Nathan Antti became the hero. Antti created a turnover, took the puck away and raced down the ice before scoring a shorthanded goal with 40 seconds remaiing in the overtime period to give the Power a 4-3 victory and complete the weekend sweep. Jacob Iallanardo earned the win in net, stopping 31 of Rochester’s 34 shots. The Power finished the game with 35 shots on goal.
The Culligan Water of West Bend Power Player of the Weekend is Nathan Antti. Antti contributed throughout the weekend, recording 3 assists before delivering the game-winning shorthanded goal in overtime Saturday to complete the Power’s sweep of Rochester.

The Power return home to Kettle Moraine Ice Center for the 2026-27 season home opener against the Fox Cities Forge, sponsored by Titletown Brewery. Game time is 7:30 p.m., with pregame tailgating beginning at 5:00 p.m.
