“Ivan is a relentless competitor who combines skill, hockey IQ, and a tireless motor,” Coach Jeremy Ebert said. “He impacts the game in every zone, thrives in key moments, and consistently does the little things that help teams win.”

Coming from the nation’s top high school hockey environment in Minnesota, Ivan’s tenacity and willingness to battle in every zone will make him an exciting player for Power fans to watch all season long.

“When I visited a Power gameday, the environment was super cool and the crowd was fun to be around,” Schmitz said. “Wisconsin was my second home growing up so it feels like home and the best spot for me.”
