The Power will host the St. Louis Jr. Blues for HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER weekend Friday and Saturday at Kettle Moraine Ice Center sponsored by The Bend Theater and Murphy and Prachthauser. The Power players will be wearing custom cancer jerseys designed for and benefitting Relay for Life Washington County. The jersey auction is live and will run through Sunday, February 1 at 10:00pm. Fans can bid through Sunday or “Buy Now” to secure their favorite jersey. All proceeds will be donated to Relay for Life Washington County. BIDDING LINK HERE.
The Great Outdoors Supper Club will be serving pre-game meals both nights. Friday is Chinese Food Night. For $15 fans can choose two entrees (choice of sweet and sour chicken, beef broccoli and vegetable stir fry) with an egg roll and white or fried rice. Saturday is Supper Club Night with prime rib with baked potato and salad for $27.
The Power clinched the regular season Central Division championship with their win over Peoria last weekend, as they improved to 33-2-1-1 with 68 points. The St. Louis Jr. Blues are 20-14-1-0 with 41 points in third place in the Central Division. The two teams have faced each other 6 times this season to date. The Power leads the series 5 – 1. This will be the final regular season meeting between the two teams. The Power have outscored the Jr. Blues 30-17 in the six previous games. The Power’s special teams have performed well, at 26.35% on the power play and 85.80% on the penalty kill. The Jr. Blues are 22.99% on the power play and 81.91% on the penalty kill.
The Power is led in scoring by Jace Fitzgerald (53 points), Danny Jurcich (45 points), Aidan Callaghan (45 total season points) and Quinn O’Connor and Drew Sparacino with 41 points each. The Jr. Blues are led in scoring by Jace Jordan with 43 points and Joseph Lopiccolo with 35 points.
“We’re excited for the weekend and proud to support Relay for Life in the fight against cancer in front of our home crowd. St. Louis is a tough opponent, so we need to be ready to compete and bring our game from the first whistle.” said Power assistant coach Paul Graef.
Both games are at 7:30pm and will be broadcast on NA TV.
