The Power and the Woodsmen will each host a home game in this weekend’s two-game series. The Power will travel to Tomah on Friday for a 7:15pm game at Tomah Ice Center and the Woodsmen will visit KMIC on Saturday for a 7:30pm puck drop. Saturday is CHRISTMAS AT THE RINK sponsored by Westbury Bank, benefitting the Youth and Family Project’s Gingerbread House.
The Cousin’s Maine Lobster Food Truck will be at KMIC from 11:00am – 7:00pm. They will be offering “buy one, get one free” entree with a toy donation (value must be $15 or more). The Power players will be wrapping Christmas gifts from 3:30-4:30. Free pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available from 6:00-7:30pm. Fans should wear their best Christmas sweater! The West Bend celebrity Christmas Carolers will be singing at first intermission and throughout the game. The Power is collecting items for the Gingerbread House. Fans can receive $5 admission with any donation (list below). The pre-game meal with the Great Outdoors Supper Club is “Soup Night.” Food & beverage service begin at 5:00pm.
The Power enters the weekend on a 13-game winning streak in first place in the Central Division with a record of 19-2-0-1 and 39 points. The Woodsmen sit in fifth place in the Central Division with a record of 7-14-2-1 and 17 points. The two teams have met three times this season. The Power have won 2 of the three and the Woodsmen handed the Power one of their two losses on the season back in early October. The Power has not lost a game since October 12 and remain undefeated at home. The Power is led in scoring by Jace Fitzgerald with 31 points, Danny Jurcich with 26 points and Blake Kohnen with 23 points. The Woodsmen are led in scoring by Maxim Lazo with 26 points and Ty Paulois with 25 points. The Power is 20.0% on the power play to the Woodsmen’s 21.43% and 79.55% on the penalty kill to Woodsmen’s 64.56%.
“This weekend gives us a great opportunity to get back on the road and test ourselves against the Woodsmen. It’s been a while since we’ve had a road trip. Let’s perform well on Friday and then return to KMIC for a strong home showing on Saturday,” said Power Head Coach Jason Woods.
Both games will be broadcast on NA TV.
