Weekend Preview – Power travels to Mason City for cross-division match up

The Power will travel to Mason City, IA to take on the Mason City Toros of the West Division in a two-game series this weekend.  This cross-division match up will be a Saturday-Sunday tilt, with Saturday’s game at 6:30pm at Mason City Arena and Sunday’s puck drop at 12:30pm.

The Power is 6-2 with 12 points to start the season and the Toros are 4-2-2 with 10 points.  The Power is coming off a split with the Wisconsin Woodsmen and the Toros are coming off two one-goal losses to the Granite City Lumberjacks.

The Power is led in scoring by Jace Fitzgerald with 17 points (10 goals, 7 assists), Drew Sparacino with 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) and Danny Jurcich with 9 points (9 assists). The Toros are led in scoring by TJ Gibson with 9 points and Grant Harder and Stone Resch with 8 points each.  The Power is 26.8% with 11 goals on the power play to Mason City’s 13.33% and 4 power play goals.  The Power is 89.58% on the penalty kill to the Toros 83.78%.  Both teams have a 3.38 goals goals against with the Power 5/goals for and Toros 4/goals for.
