Mar 17, 2025

The Power faced the Wisconsin Woodsmen in the first round of the Fraser Cup Playoffs and took care of business in the first two games, winning both in exciting overtime fashion.  Friday the Power kept the fans at Kettle Moraine Ice Center on the edge of their seats, tying the game with just 16.3 seconds on the clock to send the game to overtime.   There was no scoring in the first period by either team.  The Woodsmen got on the board first, at 14.27 of the second period for the 1-0 lead.  Mike Sobaski tied the game at 1:29 off assists from Odin Klebba and Drew Sparacino for a 1-1 tie after two periods of play.  Tomah took the lead with just 39.7 seconds remaining on a power play goal.  The Power called a time out to regroup, then pulled goaltender Adam Prokop for the extra attacker.  Jackson Hoem on a second attempt shot, got one through the five hole of Woodsmen goaltender Kelly to tie the game at 16.3 to send the game to overtime.  The Power had one goal waived off in overtime, but the Power prevailed when Jackson Hoem was able to get another one in the net for the victory.  Adam Prokop earned the victory in the Power net, stopping 27/29 shots on goal.   The Power had 50 shots on goal.

Saturday the Power hit the road to try to finish the series and they did just that, once again in an overtime victory.  Brody Josselyn scored twice in the first period.  At 14:17 he was assisted by Andrew Browe and at 8:35 he was assisted by Browe again and Tommy Kundinger, for the 2-0 lead after one period.  Teagan Scheurer scored the first goal of the second period at 14:53, answered by Tomah two times, at 13:18 and 9:53.  Jozef Silhar added the Power’s fourth goal at 6:59, assisted by Michael Maillette and Kelly Coldwater. The Woodsmen answered again to cut the lead to 4-3 at 2:28. The Woodsmen scored the only goal of the third period to send the game to overtime.  Brody Josselyn was Saturday’s overtime hero, scoring his third goal to complete the hat trick, seal the victory and send the Power to the next round.  Josselyn was assisted by Blake Mitchell.  Adam Prokop earned the victory in the Power net, stopping 23/27 shots on goal.
