The West Bend Power faced two Central Division opponents this weekend at Kettle Moraine Ice Center, splitting the weekend and picking up two points.  The Power fell to the Rochester Grizzlies 6-3 on Friday and defeated the Wisconsin Woodsmen 3-2 in an overtime thriller.

Friday the Power got on the board first, scoring less than two minutes into the game off an unassisted goal by Odin Klebba.  Rochester quickly answered, capitalizing on a Power turnover to tie the game.  It remained 1-1 through the first period.  Teagan Scheurer scored his 6th goal of the season at 7:59 of the second to take the lead.  Scheurer was assisted by Drew Sparacino (5) and Odin Klebba (10).  Rochester again quickly answered to tie it up at again at 7:02, staying that way to end the period.   The third period started out much of the same, with the Power tallying first.  At 16:32 Brayden Graning scored his 4th goal of the season off assists from Teagan Scheurer (9) and Jace Fitzgerald (13).  Then things started to unfold for the Power, as Rochester scored 4 unanswered goals, including an empty net goal at 1:50 to seal the victory.   The Power outshot the Grizzlies 39-24.  Connor Doyle took the loss in the Power net.

Saturday it was the home team again to light the lamp first.  Danny Jurcich scored his first goal as a Power at 6:28, he was assisted by Lucca Weinkauf (6) and Drew Garipay (3).  The Woodsmen tied it up at 1:59 of the period, and it stayed that way until 2:55 of the second, when Charles Murray scored for the visitors, giving them the 2-1 lead after two periods of play.  There was no scoring in the third until there was just 44.6 seconds remaining, when Will McDonald was able to tie the game with his 3rd goal of the season.  He was assisted by Jackson Hoem (10) and Teagan Scheurer (10).  Facing their second overtime battle in as many weekends, the hero once again was Jace Fitzgerald, scoring at 4:26 of overtime off a beautiful no-look pass from Trace Shumlas for the win.  The Power outshot the Woodsmen, 34-18.  Ben Glaesman recorded the win in the Power net, his 7th on the season.

The Palermo’s Screamin Sicilian Three Stars of the Game were third star Danny Jurcich, second star Will McDonald and first star Jace Fitzgerald.  The Versi-foam hard hat hardest worker of the game was Drew Garipay.  The Culligan Water of West Bend player of the weekend goes to Teagan Scheurer.
