The Milwaukee Power opened their 2020-21 season last night at the Ozaukee Ice Center, their new home, to a crowd of 267.
The scoring opened early in the 1st as Milwaukee would strike first on a rookie combo with Teddy Marion burying a power play goal on a great pass from Will Jentz. Oregon would answer last with a goal from Carter Stobb.
In the 2nd Oregon scored less than a minute in from Sam VanderHoeven. Milwaukee would respond 15 minutes later as Mason Ausmus picked the corner with an assist from Marion. Oregon would regain the lead on a Dylan Dent goal with just 5 seconds remaining in the period.
In the 3rd Oregon would score 3 times to stretch their lead to 4. Will Jentz would score late with an assist from Ausmus but the Oregon lead was too much to overcome.

The Coach’s Pub N Grill Hard Hat Player of the Game was Jackson Terpstra as he wasn’t afraid to lay the body.
The Power are on the road next weekend to take on the Peoria Mustangs as they look to get their first points of the young season. They will be back at home on the 23rd and 24th to face the Wausau River Wolves.
